Parish welcomes Muslim visitors

Hereford Times, November 9th 2007

Much Birch parishioners welcomed a group of Muslim visitors to the county in a trip designed to strengthen links between two faiths.

A coach party of 40 adults and children arrived from Coventry in return for a trip a group of Herefordians made to two mosques earlier this year.

The visitors enjoyed a walk around Treberva Fruit Farm in Much Birch and sampled apples and apple juice. There was also afternoon tea in Much Birch Hall.

Dr John Dinnen, from the Hereford Christian Aid Committee, said: "It was great to be able to share tea and a walk in the orchards. We were able to get to know each other and chat about our faith and lives."

In the evening, a meal was held at St Paul's Community Centre in Hereford followed by a talk on Children of Abraham' by the Venerable Len Moss, former Archdeacon of Hereford.
