FARM buildings in a south Herefordshire village are to make way for housing.
Planning committee members approved outline plans to demolish buildings at Court Farm, Much Birch, against the recommendation of planning officers.
Indicative plans for the site showed a layout of four detached, two semi-detached and three terraced homes - the latter identified as affordable housing.
The scheme is also likely to see the provision of a car park to serve the village’s surgery, community hall and parish church.
Councillor Richard Smith, member for the Pontrilas ward which covers Much Birch, said villagers wanted the housing and that it would help Much Birch to continue to thrive.
