Three killed in two-car accident

Three people have died and five others injured following a two car crash in Herefordshire.
The smash happened on the A49 near Much Birch last night. Four ambulances and two MARS doctors were called just after 8pm, along with two fire crews from Hereford and one from Ross-on-Wye.
The road has since re-opened having been closed for much of last night.
Claire Thomas of the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Three people from one car suffered fatal injuries and were confirmed dead at the scene.
A man from the same car suffered serious chest, abdominal, pelvic and arm injuries." He was taken to Hereford County Hospital.
Ms Thomas added that a family of four travelling in the second car were treated by paramedics for minor injuries and shock and also taken to the County Hospital.
The parents are believed to be in their 30s.
Police have urged anyone who witnessed last night's two-car crash to contact them.

Three young people have died in a crash in Herefordshire which also left a girl and a man
seriously injured. The accident which involved a silver Nissan and a blue Rover happened on the A49 near Much
Birch on Saturday night.
A woman and two men in the Rover - all aged between 16 and 25 - were killed, while a man who was
in the same vehicle is critically ill, police said. A girl, 10, who was in the Nissan is said to be in a critical
condition and her brother, seven, has a broken arm. The children's parents, who are in their 30s, were not
hurt.
The injured man in the Rover suffered serious chest, abdominal, pelvic and arm injuries, the
ambulance service had said.
The service said it was called out shortly before 2015 GMT.
