Briefings from your Local Policing Team
4th January 2009
Motorists in Kingstone were targeted again in the early hours of Saturday morning, this time on a large scale.
36 vehicles were damaged by having their tyres slashed and some were also scratched. Two males have been arrested and are now on police bail whilst enquiries continue, and more arrests are anticipated in the next few days.
A Husquvana 460 chainsaw was stolen from an outbuilding on a farm in Kentchurch last Monday, 29th December.
Just off our patch, an Ifor Williams 8 x 4 plant trailer was stolen overnight last night from an estate in Vowchurch.
The yard is in the middle of a wood and is locked, but the thieves managed to get through the back of the yard area and steal the trailer, worth £1,300.
Trailer thefts continue to be a problem in the rural areas, if you have one make sure it is well secured, preferably out of sight, and mark it so that it can be positively identified if recovered.
SmartWater is ideal for this, please ask for more details if you are interested.
Thanks
