Briefings from your Local Policing TeamFebruary 1st, 2011Good evening Crime Trends Over last weekend 28th/31st January, a unit at Netherwood Road, Rotherwas was broken into and a quantity of steel and a floor crane was stolen. There was a large hole cut in the perimeter fence to enable the thieves to remove the property. Overnight last night, and also three weeks ago, fuel was stolen from a Volvo HGV parked at a premises in Pontrilas. Also overnight last night, a farm in Garway was targeted by thieves, who got away with a 2 axle Ivor Williams tipping trailer, a 'Blue Edge' heavy duty steam cleaner, and an oil pump. Two vehicles parked in the farm yard were entered and searched, but it doesn't appear that anything was stolen from them. Suspicious vehicles Today at about 1.30pm a householder in St Weonards had a visit from two males aged 35-40, both quite tall with dark hair, asking for scrap, then offering their services as tree surgeons! They were in a white Ford Transit V69*JNY. Please report any sightings.
I have attached a photo of a vehicle that has been captured on CCTV at two business premises on our area over the past couple of weeks - have you seen it around? We have a part registration of BV04. On one occasion the occupants were disturbed attempting to steal fuel by parking next to an HGV in the compound of the business.
Thank you
